Chief Chukwuemeka Alutu Condemns the Notion That Education Is a Scam, Urges Nnewi People to Vote Wisely

Prominent Nnewi stakeholder, Chief Chukwuemeka Alutu (Omekannaya), has strongly criticized the growing belief among some individuals that education is a scam. Speaking with journalists on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at his office in Dr. Alutu College of Excellence, Nnewi, he emphasized that education plays a vital role in shaping individuals, particularly in politics.

According to Chief Alutu, an educated person stands a greater chance of excelling in leadership and governance due to exposure and enlightenment. He stressed that knowledge empowers individuals to make informed decisions, contribute meaningfully to society, and drive progress.

On the upcoming Nzuko-Ora President-General election, Chief Alutu, a respected stakeholder in Nnewi, advised the electorate to vote with their conscience rather than succumb to political godfatherism. He noted that favoritism has remained a significant challenge in today’s political landscape and called for a change in approach.

He urged the people of Nnewi to unite and elect the most competent candidate based on merit. Outlining the key qualities required for the position, he identified exposure, educational background, and experience in community affairs as essential factors that should guide the voters' choice.

Any candidate who possesses these attributes should be considered, rather than choosing someone based on personal relationships or favoritism, Chief Alutu stated.

He further appealed to the delegates to make wise decisions for the greater good of Nnewi, stressing that a collective commitment to doing the right thing would lead to a better and more prosperous community.

Reflecting on the tenure of Dr. Maduka Atueyi, the outgoing President-General, Chief Alutu acknowledged his efforts but maintained that much more could be accomplished if the right leadership is elected this time.

With unity and dedication to good governance, Nnewi will experience greater progress, he reaffirmed.

As the Nzuko-Ora election approaches, Chief Alutu's message serves as a strong reminder for the people of Nnewi to prioritize the future of their community over personal interests.
