Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto, born on November 6, 1952, in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria, is a prominent businessman and industrialist renowned for his significant contributions to Nigeria's industrial landscape. He leads The Ibeto Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Nigeria, with interests spanning automotive parts, petrochemicals, cement production, hospitality, and real estate.

Ibeto's journey to prominence began in the bustling town of Nnewi, often referred to as the "Japan of Africa" due to its vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. At the age of 13, his father directed him towards trade, leading him to apprentice under Mr. John Akamelu in Onitsha, where he delved into the motor parts business. This apprenticeship was interrupted by the Nigerian Civil War, during which Ibeto served in the army. In 1988, Ibeto ceased direct importation of lead-acid automotive batteries and plastic motor accessories, having established a manufacturing plant in Nnewi. By 1995, The Ibeto Group had emerged as one of Nigeria's largest indigenous manufacturers of automotive spare parts, significantly reducing the nation's dependence on imported components. Expanding his industrial footprint, Ibeto founded Ibeto Petrochemical Industries Ltd. in 1996, focusing on blending oil lubricants and producing various petroleum products for both local and international markets. The company boasts one of Nigeria's largest liquid storage facilities for petroleum products, with a capacity exceeding 60,000 metric tonnes, located in Apapa Wharf and the Ibru Port Complex in Lagos.

In the cement industry, Ibeto made strategic moves to bolster Nigeria's self-sufficiency. In May 2018, Ibeto Cement Company Limited announced a reverse merger with Century Petroleum Corporation, a U.S.-based petroleum exploration and production company. This strategic decision aimed to penetrate global markets and streamline the process of listing on international stock exchanges.

Ibeto's contributions have been recognized at the highest levels. In 2008, he was conferred with the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his outstanding contributions to the country's industrial development. In 2012, he was further honored as a Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), reflecting his continued dedication to national economic growth.
