The Nnewi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NCCIMA) has expressed its appreciation for the ongoing infrastructural development in Anambra State under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
In a letter addressed to the governor, the chamber acknowledged the positive impact of various completed and ongoing projects, particularly in Nnewi, a major commercial hub in the state. The letter, signed by NCCIMA President Mr. Ezukwo Moses and Executive Secretary Obiora Ibekwe, highlighted several key road projects that have enhanced transportation and business activities in the region.
Among the projects lauded by the business community are the construction of Bank Road, Nnewi-Okija Road, and Igwe Orizu Road. These roads, according to NCCIMA, are critical to improving connectivity, easing the movement of goods and services, and fostering economic growth in the industrial city of Nnewi.
Boosting Business and Investment Climate
The chamber emphasized that the improved road network will significantly enhance the ease of doing business in the area. With smoother transport routes, businesses can operate more efficiently, reducing logistical challenges and improving supply chain operations.
According to the letter, “These projects will not only improve connectivity and enhance the quality of life for our people but will also foster economic growth by enabling the smooth movement of goods and services.”
Nnewi, widely recognized as the manufacturing capital of Anambra State and home to numerous industries, has long been a key driver of the state’s economy. The infrastructural upgrades under Governor Soludo’s administration are expected to further boost the town’s reputation as a thriving hub for commerce and investment.
The chamber also noted that by prioritizing such projects, the governor has demonstrated a strong commitment to economic development. The newly constructed roads have already started making a difference by reducing travel time, improving accessibility, and enhancing the overall business environment in Nnewi.
Recognition of Leadership and Commitment
Beyond appreciating the infrastructural advancements, NCCIMA commended Governor Soludo’s leadership style and dedication to transforming Anambra State. The letter described his administration’s efforts as a significant step toward making the state a more attractive destination for trade and investment.
“We salute your leadership and unwavering dedication to the infrastructural development of Anambra State,” the letter stated.
Furthermore, the business community pledged its continued support for the governor’s initiatives, expressing a shared vision of building a more prosperous and industrially competitive Anambra State.
A Step in the Right Direction
Governor Soludo’s administration has placed a strong emphasis on infrastructural renewal, recognizing its role in economic development. Since assuming office, his government has embarked on several road rehabilitation and construction projects across different parts of the state, with Nnewi among the major beneficiaries.
Residents and business owners in the city have already begun to witness the positive impact of these projects, as better roads contribute to easier movement of raw materials and finished goods, reduced vehicle maintenance costs, and overall improvement in commercial activities.
The recognition from NCCIMA is a testament to the administration’s focus on tangible development that directly benefits the people and businesses of Anambra State. With continued investments in infrastructure, Nnewi is expected to maintain its status as one of Nigeria’s most industrious cities, attracting even more local and international investors.
As the governor continues with his development agenda, the hope among business leaders and residents is that more projects will be initiated and completed, ensuring sustainable economic progress for Anambra State.
