APC's Prince Ukachukwu’s Campaign Ikukuoma Movement Storms Lagos: Anambra 2025 Guber Race Gains Momentum

The race to Agu Awka has taken a significant turn as the Ikukuoma Movement, backing the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate for Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, launched its campaign in Lagos with a rousing event. The launch, held in the Okota area, drew a sizable crowd of Anambra indigenes residing in Lagos and marked the official start of what insiders are calling a grassroots political revolution ahead of the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election.

Leading the charge was Chief Obioma Nnazor, the group’s National Coordinator, known popularly as Agu Eji Eje Mba, who declared that the movement is committed to delivering Prince Ukachukwu to the Anambra State Government House. He was joined by other top officials including National Secretary Barrister Nkechi Agubuzor and National Women Leader Hon. Obey Ezenia. Their message was clear: Ikukuoma is not just a candidate, he is a movement powered by a vision for a better Anambra.

The gathering attracted men and women from all walks of life—mostly Ndigbo living in Lagos—who pledged their support and volunteered to mobilize others. According to Chief Nnazor, the movement isn’t just about campaigning in the traditional sense. It is a strategic, state-spanning effort to energize the Anambra electorate, encouraging indigenes residing outside the state to transfer their polling units and ensure they are eligible to vote back home.

At the heart of the campaign lies Ukachukwu’s reputation as a philanthropist and man of the people. His supporters speak of years of quiet generosity—helping the less privileged, offering scholarships, and building infrastructure—all without the fanfare typical of many politicians. It is this track record, Nnazor emphasized, that has triggered the movement's rapid expansion and daily influx of new members.

Supporters believe Prince Ukachukwu’s appeal goes beyond political promises. Described as humble, approachable, and driven by genuine concern for the welfare of others, he has captured the imagination of many who are weary of political rhetoric. The campaign aims to channel that goodwill into votes, and the structure of the movement reflects that goal—with coordinated teams reaching across Nigeria, igniting support wherever Anambra people reside.

A key component of the strategy is synergy. Several existing support groups have already merged into the Ikukuoma Anambra Movement, a consolidation that Nnazor believes gives their effort the firepower needed to secure a decisive win at the polls. Drawing on his experience—having previously led the successful campaign of incumbent Governor Charles Soludo in 2020/21—Nnazor expressed confidence that history will repeat itself with another victory.

Thanking the supporters for their dedication, he called on every Anambra indigene, regardless of location, to join the cause. The movement, he stated, is not just about winning an election—it is a mission to transform Anambra through development in healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and the economy at large.

With prominent business leaders and influential figures already lending their support to Ikukuoma, the momentum appears to be building fast. As the movement pushes forward with its mobilization, the political landscape of Anambra may be in for a significant shake-up come November.
