VeryDarkMan Sparks Outrage and Applause with Explosive Diss Track Targeting Governor, Cleric and Singer [VIDEO]

Social media was sent into a frenzy following the release of a diss track by outspoken commentator and activist, VeryDarkMan, who took aim at three high-profile figures: Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, street-hop musician Portable and controversial clergyman Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

This latest release from the fearless online personality has generated a mix of admiration and outrage, with listeners divided over his no-holds-barred lyrical attack. Known for using his platform to call out perceived injustices and societal flaws, VeryDarkMan appears to have crossed into even more controversial territory.

With a raw delivery and unapologetic tone, he opened the track by targeting Governor Monday Okpebholo over the surfacing of his WAEC (West African Examination Council) results. The document, which has made the rounds online, shows the governor received largely poor grades, including an E8.

VeryDarkMan wasted no time using that revelation to criticize the electoral process, particularly taking a swipe at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). “E8, WAEC result of a governor. INEC, shame on you,” he declared in a line that has since gone viral across various platforms.

The lyrics cast doubt on the credibility of the political vetting system and echo wider frustrations among citizens who question the qualifications of elected officials. VeryDarkMan’s attack on Governor Okpebholo is being interpreted by some as a wake-up call for transparency in public office, while others view it as a disrespectful and unnecessary provocation.

The diss track didn’t stop there. He also renewed his long-running feud with Portable, the street-hop singer known as much for his music as for his endless controversies. Referring to an incident involving an alleged tricycle theft that led to Portable’s detention, VeryDarkMan painted the musician as a symbol of chaos and self-inflicted drama.

Portable, who is often quick to respond to criticism, has yet to issue a reply. However, fans are already bracing for a possible back-and-forth between the two personalities, considering their history of online confrontations.

Perhaps the most sensitive part of the track is where VeryDarkMan took shots at Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, the popular clergyman known for his “healing water” and other spiritual items. Labeling the prophet’s practices as manipulative, the activist accused him of taking advantage of vulnerable followers.

Lines in the diss track appear to mock the miracle branding associated with the prophet’s ministry. Critics of Fufeyin have previously raised concerns about the monetization of faith and the commercialization of religious beliefs. VeryDarkMan’s decision to shine a spotlight on this subject, using scathing lyrics, has been seen by many as bold and unfiltered.

The public reaction to the track has been intense. On one side, fans and supporters of VeryDarkMan have applauded him for what they call bravery and authenticity. On the other hand, his critics argue that he is becoming unnecessarily antagonistic and insensitive to the personal lives and beliefs of others.

One user, @jack_sonsucess, called the diss track “a jam,” clearly enjoying the musical delivery despite the harsh content. Another, @iamcozzdee, celebrated the pettiness on display, labeling it “next level.” But not everyone was impressed. @holamydexloj simply wrote, “VDM na werey,” suggesting the activist is crazy for going this far.

Others pointed out potential fallout. “Portable wey no get shame will still come for him, he should know that there are rumors he is into men allegedly,” wrote @villagetapper, blending commentary with unverified gossip. @otomealex added that even Deeone, another online figure, was mentioned at the tail end of the diss, hinting that VeryDarkMan is leaving no one untouched.

Perhaps the most telling reaction came from @jaynation, who commented, “VDM may God protect you for us,” suggesting that even fans sense the danger that comes with calling out powerful figures so openly.

This track marks another bold move by VeryDarkMan, whose rise has been fueled by his refusal to conform to mainstream expectations. As the online debates continue, the diss has once again confirmed his place as one of Nigeria’s most provocative voices in the digital space.

The coming days will reveal whether this lyrical assault triggers a chain reaction or fades as just another viral moment. Regardless, VeryDarkMan has succeeded in sparking a conversation that many would rather avoid.
