The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has emphasized the urgent need for Nigeria to confront terrorism from a broader perspective by targeting not only insurgents but also those financing their operations. Speaking at the November Holy Ghost Service held at the RCCG Redemption City Campground, Adeboye argued that the country’s fight against terrorism would remain incomplete unless the financial networks supporting violent groups are dismantled, irrespective of the power or influence of those involved.

Pastor Adeboye highlighted the importance of decisive action by the President and the nation’s security apparatus. He advised that service chiefs be given clear directives to pursue both insurgents and their sponsors without fear or favor, noting that the real threat to Nigeria’s stability extends beyond armed groups. The cleric stressed that terrorism can only be fully addressed when those enabling it behind the scenes are brought to justice, signaling that a more holistic approach is required to secure lasting peace.

Nigeria’s reliance on external assistance during conflicts was another concern raised by Adeboye. He urged the government to prioritize homegrown solutions, emphasizing that the nation could not afford to depend on foreign powers in times of major security crises.
