Man Dies in Sex Worker’s Room, Sparks Confusion in Gwagwalada

 

Confusion erupted in the New Kutunku community of Gwagwalada Area Council after a 31-year-old man, identified as Ajayi Nicholas, allegedly slumped and died inside a sex worker’s room at a local hotel.

According to residents, the tragic incident occurred on Saturday around 5 PM when Nicholas checked into the establishment. However, what seemed like a routine visit turned into a shocking event when he suddenly collapsed just as he was about to leave the room. The woman, visibly alarmed, immediately alerted the hotel manager, who quickly recognized the deceased.

Immediate Response and Investigation

Eyewitnesses say the hotel manager wasted no time in reaching out to Nicholas’ relatives, who live within the area, to inform them of the incident. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, but doctors confirmed he had already passed away.

A resident, Josiah Gabriel, who spoke about the event, described how the scene drew attention from both community members and authorities. Shortly after the man was pronounced dead, police officers from the local outpost arrived at the hotel to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

“The police came and immediately began their investigation. They also ensured that the man’s body was taken to the mortuary,” Gabriel stated.

As part of their investigation, the police detained the woman who had been with the deceased at the time of the incident. Though her identity has not been disclosed, sources say she is assisting law enforcement in uncovering any possible factors that may have contributed to the sudden death.
