Peter Obi Condemns Uromi Killings: Calls for Justice and End to Mob Violence

 

UROMI, EDO STATE — Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has strongly condemned the brutal lynching of Northern travellers in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, emphasizing that such acts of violence have no place in a civilized society. Obi, in a heartfelt statement, lamented the growing trend of extrajudicial killings in Nigeria and urged both the government and citizens to uphold the rule of law.

The travellers, accused of being kidnappers, were reportedly set upon by a furious mob that chose to deliver instant justice instead of allowing law enforcement to investigate the allegations.
