Joy Raimi Mojisola Clinches Miss World Nigeria 2025 Title, Prepares for Global Showdown in India

Lagos, Nigeria – In a dazzling display of poise, elegance, and intelligence, 24-year-old Joy Raimi Mojisola has emerged as the winner of the coveted Miss World Nigeria 2025 title. The grand finale, held over the weekend in the bustling heart of Lagos, witnessed a celebration of culture, confidence, and the rising voice of Nigerian womanhood.

Representing Osun State, Raimi captivated the judges and audience alike with her remarkable stage presence and heartfelt responses during the final round of the competition. Outshining a pool of 36 other contestants, Raimi ultimately bested four other top finalists—representing Imo, Abuja, Abia, and Ebonyi states—to claim the national crown.

The Miss World Nigeria pageant, long regarded as a platform for empowering young Nigerian women, saw 37 representatives—one from each state—compete in a series of rigorous activities. These included talent showcases, social impact presentations, interviews, and traditional and evening wear segments, all culminating in the climactic grand finale.

Raimi’s triumph did not come easily. The final round saw a high-caliber battle between equally charismatic contenders. Each finalist brought forward unique strengths, ranging from social advocacy to public speaking prowess. However, it was Raimi’s composure, eloquence, and undeniable charm that ultimately swayed the judges in her favor.

With her victory, Joy Raimi Mojisola now holds the honor of representing Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled to be held in India from May 7 to 31, 2025. This global contest will bring together contestants from 140 nations, offering Raimi an international platform to showcase not just her personal abilities but also the cultural richness and resilience of Nigeria.

“I am deeply honored and grateful for this opportunity,” Raimi said in her acceptance speech, visibly moved. “Wearing the crown is not just about beauty; it’s about carrying the hopes of a generation of women who dare to dream. I look forward to making Nigeria proud on the world stage.”

Pageant organizers lauded the standard of this year’s competition, emphasizing the diversity and talent represented among the contestants. “Each young woman who competed brought something truly special to the stage,” said one of the event’s coordinators. “Joy Raimi exemplifies the values of the Miss World Nigeria platform—strength, intelligence, compassion, and beauty.”

As preparations begin for the international pageant in India, Raimi will undergo further training and mentorship in public speaking, cultural representation, and global diplomacy. Her journey ahead includes not only representing Nigeria in competition but engaging in the Beauty with a Purpose initiative, a core element of the Miss World ethos that focuses on humanitarian projects.

Joy Raimi Mojisola’s victory marks a significant chapter in her life and in the story of Nigerian pageantry. As she sets her sights on the Miss World stage, all eyes will be on India in May, where Nigeria hopes to bring home yet another crown through the grace and grit of a rising star from Osun.
