Controversial Prophet Warns Critics of Judy Austin, Says Divine Mercy is Beyond Human Judgment and Morality

Prophet Abel Boma, spiritual leader and founder of the ATB Foundation, has stirred heated reactions online following a prophetic message defending Judy Austin, the controversial second wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie. In a passionate video shared on Instagram, the Port Harcourt-based cleric delivered what he described as a divine revelation, cautioning Nigerians and social media users against casting judgment on the actress.

According to Prophet Boma, God revealed to him a message regarding the widespread criticism directed at Judy Austin. He insisted that the actress is being unfairly persecuted by those who are themselves morally flawed. The prophet warned that the divine realm operates independently of human perspectives and societal expectations, asserting that God's blessings and forgiveness are not limited by public opinion or moral indignation.

While addressing his followers in the video, the prophet declared, “The Lord is sending a strong message to Nigeria. He is saying to all of you judging a certain woman, Judy, as the second wife of Yul, the Lord is saying let her be.” He further stressed that many of those pointing fingers are privately guilty of greater sins, including infidelity and the destruction of other people’s marriages.

He continued, “A lot of hypocrisy is happening around us. The Lord said face your own problems and let the woman have peace. I, the Lord, choose who to bless and forgive. Your judgment against one person does not matter to me. That is what the Lord is saying.”

The cleric did not stop at defending Judy; he issued a broader rebuke to those who he claimed lead double lives while condemning others online. “Some of you have done worse. You do not want people to judge you, but look at how you judge her. Make your own marriage work and stop pock-nosing into other people’s relationships,” he added. “Stop talking about people’s marriages when you are scattering other people’s own secretly, sleeping with married men. God said tell them do not judge anyone.”

Although the message may have been intended to provoke reflection and empathy, it sparked a wave of backlash, especially from supporters of May Edochie, Yul’s first wife. These critics, often referred to as “May Nation,” expressed outrage in the prophet’s comment section, questioning both the authenticity of the message and the appropriateness of invoking God’s name in the matter.

Social media users wasted no time in voicing their displeasure. One user, @henryumeadi, wrote, “Na wa sha, una don dey too belittle God well well. So God get time for this? In the midst of all the sufferings and killings? Na Yul matter? All the millions of pastors and prophets in this world, God must be busy every second talking to all of you.”

Another commenter, @adao_raofficial, dismissed the message entirely with, “The Lord is saying? Pastor be healed abeg.” Meanwhile, @hog_wigs questioned the source of the prophecy, saying, “Which Lord told you this? The Lord don suffer for una hand.”

Not everyone was critical, however. A handful of users showed appreciation for the message, thanking the prophet for speaking out. @alade838 commented, “Daddy, God bless you sir,” while others quietly exited the conversation, with one user, @mrsa210, simply stating, “Now let me unfollow you.”

The message has since ignited a broader debate online about the role of prophets in personal and celebrity matters, as well as the fine line between prophecy and personal opinion. Several critics have accused Prophet Boma of disguising personal bias as a divine message. “This is not prophecy, you just decided to lend your voice on her behalf,” wrote @michealslynda. @queenmaynation added, “Normalize telling people your personal opinion instead of lying on God. God gives no hoot about those adulterous duo.”

As of now, neither Judy Austin nor Yul Edochie has publicly responded to the prophet’s message. The couple has long been at the center of public controversy following Yul’s marriage to Judy, which sparked widespread sympathy for his first wife, May. The situation remains one of the most discussed celebrity marital scandals in Nigeria, and the addition of a prophetic voice has only intensified the scrutiny.

The debate rages on across social platforms, highlighting the ever-growing tension between religious authority, social media influence, and public opinion in today’s digital age. Whether the message was divinely inspired or simply a plea for empathy remains a hot topic. However, one thing is certain: Prophet Abel Boma has added fresh fire to an already blazing controversy.
