AGN President Emeka Rollas Exposes Silence Of Industry Colleagues Over Regina Daniels Distressful Marital Situation

Actors Guild of Nigeria President, Emeka Rollas, has openly criticized his colleagues for staying silent regarding the personal and health challenges faced by Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. Speaking through a statement shared on Instagram, Rollas revealed that many industry members are aware of Regina Daniels’ health concerns but have chosen to speak negatively behind her back rather than offer support.

Rollas recounted instances where senior actors including Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, and others witnessed troubling behavior from the actress on a movie set, signaling that she needed assistance. Despite this, the President claims that these colleagues have deliberately avoided addressing the situation, leaving him to manage both public scrutiny and the responsibilities of his position.

Highlighting a specific event, Rollas mentioned how Senator Ned Nwoko publicly raised concerns about Regina Daniels’ habits during their son’s birthday celebration, an incident that was observed by several AGN members. He expressed frustration that private family matters were brought into the public sphere, noting that there were better ways to handle such issues internally.

Emeka Rollas also addressed the role of Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, who is currently pursuing leadership within the Guild. Rollas emphasized that while professional ambitions are valid, the health and well-being of her daughter should take priority over Guild politics. He criticized those encouraging Rita’s political aspirations without acknowledging the personal challenges facing her family, describing them as undermining the Guild’s integrity and safety.

Refuting claims that Senator Nwoko has been funding the Actors Guild, Rollas clarified that ₦200 million attributed to the lawmaker was intended for Regina Daniels’ film production, not the Guild. He expressed concern that ongoing misinformation has unfairly placed him at the center of controversy and stressed the importance of transparency to protect the Guild’s reputation.

Rollas also recounted a condition placed on a planned roundtable meeting in South Africa, where Senator Nwoko insisted that Regina Daniels could only participate if she avoided traveling through Lagos. He described this as yet another example of private matters being entangled with public and professional interactions, which he believes could have been handled more discreetly.

Throughout his statement, Rollas appealed to industry colleagues to confront reality and provide support where needed rather than spreading gossip or remaining passive. He underscored that seeking help is not shameful and reminded members that the Guild has historically assisted artists facing personal difficulties. The President concluded by asserting that he is speaking out to protect his integrity and to clarify the truth amid growing public scrutiny and silence from those who know the full context.
