CAF Announces Free Electronic Visas For Fans Attending AFCON Morocco 2025 To Boost Global Attendance

The Confederation of African Football and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have unveiled a new initiative allowing fans to obtain free electronic visas to attend Africa’s premier football tournament. This announcement comes as demand for tickets surges from supporters across the globe eager to witness top African football talent in action.

The policy applies specifically to citizens of countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco. Electronic visas will be available through the YALLA app and are free of charge for all fans attending the tournament scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. CAF emphasized that this move is designed to facilitate international travel and increase stadium attendance while promoting a smooth and secure fan experience.

Supporters attending the tournament must carry two essential documents: a Fan ID and an e-visa. The Fan ID is compulsory for entry into all stadiums and official fan zones, ensuring security and organization throughout the event. Fans can conveniently apply for both the Fan ID and the e-visa simultaneously through the YALLA app, which streamlines the application process and provides an integrated platform for managing tournament credentials.

CAF highlighted the simplicity and efficiency of the application process, noting that completing the Fan ID form and submitting an e-visa request can be done seamlessly in one place. Once approvals are granted, supporters will be able to purchase tickets for matches via the official CAF ticketing platform, guaranteeing access to all stadiums hosting the competition.

The tournament will feature 24 national teams competing across nine stadiums located in six cities throughout Morocco. With the country hosting AFCON for the first time since 1988, organizers are anticipating a high level of excitement, intense rivalries, and standout performances from a new generation of African football stars. This year’s edition is expected to generate significant international attention as fans from all corners of the world travel to witness the continent’s biggest football festival.

CAF stressed that the new visa and Fan ID measures aim to deliver a seamless and secure experience for fans while promoting Morocco as a welcoming host nation. The YALLA app plays a central role in this process, allowing international visitors and local supporters alike to navigate the tournament’s requirements efficiently.

Officials hope the initiative will not only simplify entry procedures but also encourage greater participation, making AFCON Morocco 2025 a celebration of football, culture, and unity for the African continent and its supporters worldwide.

Fans are encouraged to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store or access the official YALLA website to complete their Fan ID and e-visa applications promptly to secure their participation in this landmark event.
