Delta State Pastor Arrested Over Alleged R@pe And Exploitation Of Three Sisters And Other Church Members

Authorities in Delta State have taken a significant step following disturbing allegations against a local pastor accused of r@pe, defilement, and s3xual exploitation of multiple female church members. The suspect, identified as Pastor Daniel Ololo of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry in Sapele, was apprehended at his church premises after a formal complaint was lodged by victims.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the command, disclosed that investigations revealed Pastor Ololo allegedly manipulated his position of spiritual authority to exploit vulnerable members of his congregation. Authorities allege that he employed false prophecies to lure victims to his office, convincing them that s3xual acts were necessary for their spiritual deliverance.

Police investigations further uncovered troubling details, indicating that the pastor reportedly had canal knowledge of three sisters from the same family, all church members, as part of his alleged crimes. Among the identified victims is a 17-year-old girl, raising serious concerns about the abuse of minors within the church community.

Complaints against Pastor Ololo were initially filed on October 13, 2025, through a formal petition detailing acts of s3xual assault and exploitation. Following receipt of the petition, the Commissioner of Police directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to conduct a thorough investigation, resulting in the pastor’s arrest on November 17 at his church.

The police spokesperson explained that the investigation is ongoing, with authorities carefully examining the scope of the alleged offenses. Law enforcement emphasized that the case involves deliberate manipulation of trust and spiritual authority to commit acts of s3xual abuse, highlighting the vulnerability of church members who often seek spiritual guidance and relief from personal challenges.

Community members expressed shock and concern at the revelations, questioning how religious authority could be misused to perpetrate such offenses. Advocacy groups for victims of s3xual abuse have called for swift justice, stressing the need for stronger protections for young women and girls within religious institutions.

Pastor Ololo remains in police custody as investigators continue to gather evidence and interview additional potential victims. Authorities have assured the public that the investigation will follow due process, and that anyone found guilty of exploiting spiritual trust for s3xual purposes will face the full weight of the law.

The case has reignited conversations in Nigeria about the accountability of religious leaders and the mechanisms available for reporting abuse within faith communities. It also underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces when addressing crimes that involve both spiritual influence and the manipulation of vulnerable individuals.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to support the ongoing investigation, reaffirming their commitment to protecting vulnerable citizens from abuse and exploitation.
